The Art Institute of Chicago is deaccessioning 300 works of Chinese art from the collection at Christie’s ny in September. The “Chinese pieces of art from the Art Institute of Chicago” auction, scheduled for September 12, with a complementary sale that is online 10–17, may benefit the museum’s Asian art department’s purchase investment.
